A��� 90 - 100

B��� 80 -� 89

C��� 70 -� 79

D��� 60 -� 69

F��� below 60

Grading Criteria for Essays:

Major errors (fragments, subject/verb disagreement, run-on sentences, and comma splices) count off ten points, and minor errors (other mechanical and grammatical errors) count off five points.

Essays will also be graded for content, a clear thesis, support of the thesis, readable prose, and adherence to written and verbal instructions concerning content, format, length, and other requirements.

Guidelines:

Absence Policy.� PASTE HERE� Three tardies constitute an absence, and any tardy in excess of fifteen minutes constitutes an absence.

Student Responsibility.� Instruction, assignments, and deadlines will be given in class.� Attend class regularly. when YOU miss class, ask another student and/or the instructor about any missed work.

Late Essays.� Any work turned in after the due date receives a five point reeduction for each day late.� only

Plagiarism.� Any student who plagiarizes will receive a zero on the assignment.
